Saint Boniface Haiti Foundation
Working together to bring healthcare and
humanitarian aid to rural Haiti.

Mission Statement

The Saint Boniface Haiti Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer organization. Its primary mission is to provide health care to the poor of Haiti in the rural area of Fond Des Blancs (see map). This is done through the Saint Boniface Hospital (pictured above), Work Retreats, and other projects. The secondary mission is to improve the quality of life in the Haitian community through educational programs and humanitarian aid. The final mission is to raise awareness in the United States of the extreme poverty endured by the Haitian people.

Our Hospital

St. Boniface Hospital, in the south-central region of Fond des Blancs, is a private, non-profit effort to help meet this need. The hospital offers a 32-bed inpatient unit and round-the-clock Emergency Room service. In the year 2000, a new surgical unit and nutrition center were built. St. Boniface Hospital sees and treats nearly 45,000 patients (visits) per year. These numbers continue to to increase as we add new facilities and expand our multi-faceted client services.

St. Boniface Hospital is a project of the Saint Boniface Haiti Foundation of Randolph, Massachusetts, with a satellite office in Jacksonville, Florida. Our hospital administrator is Dr. Wilfrid Cadet. It is staffed by six Haitian physicians, and a combination of nurses and other health care professionals to provide both day-to-day patient care and administrative services.
